Disclaimers

• Viewing and having an understanding of our rules is your responsibility. By joining our network, it is your responsibility to understand our rules page and abide by it. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them.
• Members caught repeatedly attempting to break rules by pushing limits will be punished according to the rule(s) that they are trying to push/break. Further action may be taken if repeated rule breaking or abuse occurs.
• False reporting other members or making up incidents that didn’t happen can also result in a punishment. The member reporting will be punished, while the accused will go unpunished. This also includes reporting incidents that did not happen, in attempt to get free items from staff.
• Management reserve the right to adjust punishments as they see fit and may grant punishments for rules not explicitly stated.
• Management or Screenshare Verified Staff Members reserve the right to screenshare any player at any time if you are suspected of breaking rule(s). We may only do this under certain circumstances.
• Make a support ticket through our Discord if you are unsure whether something is against the rules or not.

Chat Offences

<aside> 💬 Chat Disruption

Sending 5+ messages that are typed within 15 seconds and are uninterrupted or sending the same message 3+ times within 15 seconds.

Sending a message that contains 20+ of the same or unrelated symbols or more than 2 chat lines of the same symbol.

Encouraging or promoting other members to spam the chat.

<aside> 🇬🇧 Foreign Languages in Global Chat

Speaking other languages in the global chat is not allowed. If you’re talking in a foreign language, please do it in private messages and not the public chat.

<aside> 🤖 Controversial Topics

</aside>

Discussing controversial topics that can include but is not limited to; politics, religion, terroristic threats/content, inappropriate debates, etc.

<aside> 👤 Impersonation

</aside>

Impersonating any staff member, staff rank, or players, or making false claims of being staff is against the rules.

<aside> ⚠️ Explicit Content

</aside>

Any excessive behavior that contains explicit content or otherwise breaks a rule. This can include but is not limited to; inappropriate language, sexual or pornographic content, discussion about severe drug-related topics, severe gore-related topics, severe violence, etc.

Using excessively harsh, malicious, or harmful language towards another member.

<aside> 🔗 Illegal Links / Media

</aside>

Sending any link or media channel name that is unrelated to Vortex within global chat. Allowed links include Vortex related: image sites, YouTube, Twitch, and Vortex websites.

<aside> ❌ Discrimination

</aside>

Any use or baiting of group-targeted harassment, homophobia, or otherwise discriminatory language.

<aside> ❌ Racism

</aside>

Any use or baiting of racism, group-targeted harassment, or other related language.

<aside> 🩸 Suicide Encouragement / Threats

</aside>

Encouraging or making any kind of death threat or violent statement to another member of the community is strictly prohibited. This includes any form of threatening language or behavior that targets other players in a harmful way.

<aside> 🚨 Abuse of Reports & Alerts

Using /report or /request for anything other than asking for Staff assistance. The report and request systems are not there to bypass mutes with.

<aside> 💬 Command Spam

The use of commands to spam another member’s chat.

<aside> 💰 Real World Trade

</aside>

Seeking or engaging in a trade that involves a currency or items outside of Vortex.

<aside> 🗣 Advertising

</aside>

Advertising of other servers (through direct IP address), hacked clients, discord invite links, or other forms in any chat that is unrelated to Vortex.
